According to the Discrimination Act, employers are required to prepare a plan for their gender equality work. The plan shall among other things include an overview of the steps necessary in the workplace in order to combat discrimination and promote equal rights and opportunities.
If there are more than 25 employees it must also include a plan of action for equal pay which is to be based on a conducted salary survey.
It's the Discrimination Ombudsman (DO) that is responsible for the oversight and controls that the provisions of the Discrimination Act are followed. In the frame of that work DO has requisitioned equality plans from 190 government agencies.
During the autumn of 2016, DO has audited SHK’s equality plan and found that it meets the requirements and no deficiencies were noted.
